Structural Detailing

Our 3D modelling software can be configured to suit all specific fabrication shop detailing standards and manufacturing processes. This ensures maximum automation within the manufacturing process leading to maximum and efficiency and reduced cost.

From Our 3D model, we create the following:

Anchor bolt plans and details

Anchor bolts have been included in the model and plans are created locating all anchor bolts. These can be exported using world coordinates for use by other trades for accurate location of anchor bolts. Survey / As built information can also be imported into the 3D model allowing accurate adjustments of anchor bolts and column base plates in the event of out of tolerance anchor bolt locations.

Shop fabrication drawings

Our software automatically creates drawings of all the components of the steel model. This ensures maximum accuracy in the drawings. In the event of design revisions, the software identifies the drawings that need revising ensuring maximum coordination of design revisions.

Shop cutting sketches

We provide individual sketches of all steel fittings such as plates & angles etc. This allows maximum efficiency in fabrication as fittings can be made in advance or in separate manufacturing process making final shop assembly as efficient as possible. Erection Plans – Plans are provided direct from the 3D model for use in the field for location of steel. All information required by the steel erector is included on these drawings showing field bolting, field welding etc. The accuracy of the steel model and drawings ensures that erection of the steel in the field is both fast and efficient.

Field Work Drawings

In the event of a late design revision when steel is fabricated or erected we can incorporate this into our model and provide specific field work drawings giving details of how the steel is to be modified to incorporate the design revision into the already fabricated steel. Advance Bill of Materials – We provide from the steel model a full advance bill of materials for ordering of the steel. This can be provided in various formats (KISS, pdf, Fabtrol, etc) for importing into our client’s material management software.

Bolt Lists

We provide shop and field bolt summaries in a variety of formats to meet client’s requirements also providing “point to point” lists as required. Individual Reports – We can also have the ability to configure SDS/2 to provide individual reports for any purpose such as weights, quantity, areas, project approval status, fabrication status, erection status.
